Life Sciences Senior Analyst

Margaret Labban joined GlobalData in February 2013 as a Life Sciences Analyst for the United States and Canada.

Her areas of specialty include healthcare policy reform, pharmaceutical pricing and reimbursement, market access, as well as clinical research and corporate developments. Over the past few years, her role at GlobalData has focused on major healthcare reforms in the United States under former President Obama and President Trump, as well as Canada’s overhaul of the drug pricing bureau’s framework. As of January 2020, she has been covering the global impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the healthcare sector, with a particular focus on the pharmaceutical industry and access to medicines.

Prior to joining GlobalData, Dr. Labban worked in a Business Development role at the technology transfer office of the McGill University Health Centre. She has eight years of scientific research experience focused on neuropathology as well as molecular mechanisms of neuronal memory with publications in peer-reviewed journals and has completed a Business Administration certificate from the John Molson School of Business, Canada. She has a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from McGill University, Canada, and brings a scientific perspective to the pharma practice.
